Good place to sit down and relax

Overall we were fairly satisfied on our stay at Rydges. We really loved the 11am checkout as my wife loves a sleep in and we were greatful that we weren't rushing. There seemed to be various types of accomodation ie townhouses, motel type rooms. The rooms were very spacious as well as the bathroom. We only had two complaints that we expected the spa in the spacious bathroom to be double as this was our wedding anniversery and the advertisement said Deluxe Spa Room.

Also my wife suffers from a bad back and the bed was really hard. Much too hard and I like a fairly hard bed. We have stayed in many hotels/motels as I travel for my work and my wife accompanies me on alot of my trips. We travel from Cairns all the way down to Coffs Harbour. There have only been a few places where she couldn't tolerate the bed and unfortunately this place was one of them. Also if there had of been a couch she would of tried to sleep on that but overall we were fairly satisfied.

Caloundra has lots to do and see. As Caloundra is part of the Sunshine Coast it is not very fair to travel up and down the Sunshine Coast. On the Sunday that we arrived we went to the main street markets which were interesting. It was a little cold for us to swim but alot of people were either swimming or surfing. We had dinner at a lovely Thai Place at Maroochydore and then headed back to the RSL Caloundra where we found we could have also had a great mea.

They have entertainment 7 nights a week so as we played the pokies we enjoyed a very good band who also had a great sense of humour. Monday we headed off to the famous Hastings Street in Noosa There is so much to do on the Sunshine Coast and we are sorry we didn't come and stay the whole of our 3 day long weekend but will be returning sometime in the future.
